L'Oreal EverPure Blonde Brass Banisher Shampoo and Conditioner | Review

I've been a HUGE fan of the L'Oreal EverPure products since I laid eyes on them probably about 8 months ago. The sulfate and paraben free formula is amazing especially for chemically treated blondes. When I saw that L'Oreal came out with a blonde version I knew I had to pick it up and try it out!

The first thing I noticed about this product was the color. It's a purple color (like you would see with your typical purple shampoo used to combat brassy tones) but this product is extremely pale. I appreciate the fact that this isn't a dark purple shampoo as daily use may become too intense for those of us wanting to just maintain the color of our blonde locks.

The lather of this product is phenomenal for a sulfate free shampoo. Most sulfate free formulas you will learn very quickly that more is needed per wash vs your typical shampoo that contains sulfates. Compared to the version of this combo that I tried first, this product needs about 1/3 of what I would use prior.

I always like to purchase both the shampoo and conditioner when they are both offered. This conditioner felt absolutely amazing on my hair and definitely had the instant hydrating and conditioning feel once applied. The conditioner, although it is also sulfate free, does not need any extra product to make up for the fact that it is indeed free of sulfates. (I only apply conditioner from mid-shafts to ends.) After blow-drying and styling my hair, you can absolutely tell a positive difference with using this conditioner. The conditioner is also very pale purple in color.

The only downfall with this conditioner is that it smells like some sort of a cleaning product. It's definitely something that I can get over (and didn't detect at all once washing out) but I know that some people can't move past an unpleasant smell.

I don't wash my hair very often, maybe twice / three times a week tops, but I can already tell a difference from using this product. It is NOT going to give you as dramatic of results if you are solely trying to achieve the anti-brass hues in your hair. If you want that, focus on a deep purple shampoo. This is an amazing product that not only holds a place in my hair from the previous version I used (and love thanks to the sulfate and paraben free formula) but also for the soft and gentle brass-pulling agents.

I picked mine up at Ulta, in which you can use their coupon always located on their website.
