Ever since seeing LC on Laguna Beach I've had insane hair envy. Well high school me, envy no longer! Kristin Ess, Lauren Conrad's hair stylist (along with Lucy Hale and Nikki Reed) has launched her first line of haircare products!
I (literally) stalked the two targets closest to me as soon as I knew these products would be available in store. Of course, both Targets were going through a remodel and wouldn't have the products available for a few days. After patiently waiting, I finally was able to find the entire line at my local store.
As of January 22nd, the 15-piece line of goods which are infused with Zip-Up, a specialized strengthening complex with chia seeds, pea protein and marine algae are available at Target.com and Target stores. Kristin says that she has been working on this line for two years and she is overjoyed to finally be able to share them with us!
There are four separate lines, each color coordinated for you to know when to use them in your morning routine. Pink: Goes in the shower. White: For everyday repair. Grey: Use on wet hair for styling. Black: Use on dry hair for styling. How much easier could it get?
I picked up two products from this line that I knew I would use the most - the Dry Shampoo and Beach Wave Spray, and let. me. tell. you. These products are phenomenal. Not only do they smell heavenly, these products actually work. Really well.
Dry Shampoo: find it here
Beach Wave Spray: find it here.
I have an extremely hard time finding a dry shampoo that actually absorbs the oils from my hair, not only right when I put it on in the morning, but mid-way through my work day when my usual dry shampoo would start to fail me. This product not only soaks up the oils, but gives me an incredible amount of volume that I have never experienced from another dry shampoo. I could not rave about this product enough. If you are a dry shampoo junkie, or even just wanting to try something new - this is your product.
The other product I chose is the Beach Wave Spray. This is a dry styling product that gives you the actual been-at-the-beach-all-day hair, without the icky sand and sunburns. Kristin states in the instructions to go easy with this product, that one bottle should last you a long time, and I couldn't agree more. Two sprays on each side and you are good to go all day. This definitely gives my Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray a run for it's money (and at a fraction of the price)!!
I can't wait to pick up more products form this line. I wanted to grab a few at a time, as they aren't extremely expensive, but we have to justify purchases somehow, right? ;)
Both of these products were $14.00, which I think is a great mid-range price tag for a product that (let's be honest) should be sold at Sephora, not Target, but I am not complaining!
Did you pick up any of these products? What should I pick up next? Let me know!
