Maybelline "The Nudes" Palette | Quick Review
This Maybelline "The Nudes" Palette was talked about so much when it first came out earlier this summer, so I knew I wanted to pick it up and give it a try for myself. I did however
have some reservations when it came to this palette. I've tried my fair share of single shadows from Maybelline and I've never been too fond of them. Many just seem to be very chalky and don't product much pigment, if any at all.
This palette, unfortunately, was no different to me than those single shadows. I got very little color payoff and the colors were so difficult to blend. When I was trying it the first few times (I did give it a few go's so that I wasn't getting a false impression) all I could think about was how nice it would be for someone maybe in early high school, who wants a little bit of makeup but nothing super intense.
I really don't have much more to say about this palette, other than I'm really disappointed. The lighter colors don't show up at all and you really have to pack on the darker colors, but beware of lots of fallout.
The dark color here is one of the dark browns in this palette and I pressed really hard for this swatch. As you can see on the left, which wasn't even the lightest color looks very chalky and has very little pigment payoff.
There are so many other Maybelline products that I love and have loved for years, this one just doesn't make the cut for me.
The palette retails for around $12-13 I believe and I picked mine up at Ulta.
Did you try this palette? If so, what do you think?
XOXO,
E
