Rimmel Stay Matte Lightweight Foundation

So I have to be honest, I was blessed with very good skin. I do occasionally get the "that-time-of-the-month" pimple, but that's about it. I have realized though, that I have a lot of un-even skin tones in my skin that can be easily fixed by a very light coverage foundation/bb cream/etc. I also tend to be on the normal/dry side.

Last weekend while at Target I was perusing the make-up aisle, as always and saw this Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation (Right around the $5 mark.) I've heard a lot about it and seen some beauty gurus on youtube talking about it as well. I also have never gotten color tested anywhere so it's always a guessing game as to what shade I should get. I have found through many times of error that I'm usually between Ivory and True Ivory.

This product claims to be a "Feather-light, liquid mousse that blends flawlessly for natural-looking all day shine control. Silky smooth formula leaves a perfectly matte, baby-soft finish. Lightweight texture won't feel heavy or greasy."   And I have to say, so far, I completely agree with all of the above.

As stated, the consistency is a whipped foundation which I've found that I prefer to a super liquid-y consistency. In my opinion, it's easier to see where you have put the foundation and how much you have applied with something like this.

The finish is just beautiful once completely applied to the face. I could see that you may need a powder just to set everything if you are a little bit on the oilier side. My bronzer and blush of choice set perfectly on top, which is very very important to me (and I think everyone else, too!)

I'm extremely excited to have finally picked this baby up, and I would highly recommend it! I'm actually very surprised at how flawless this looks, in natural and artificial light.

On the Rimmel London website, this foundation comes in 8 colors. I'm not sure how many were at Target, but they had at least 4 or 5.

Find this foundation here.

Let me know what you think if you've tried this, or if you have any questions!

XOXO,
E
